A total house refurbishment of a 1980's family home with new bedroom extension.
This 1980's home refurbishment shows how working with the existing with clever thinking can often prove the best approach. The client was enthusiastically behind a more sustainable idea of reusing rather than rebuilding. The scheme involved a complete strip out and refurbishing of the existing tired detached property.
The house was reconfigured with a new living arrangement to suit the needs and lifestyle of the family. The current house's footprint doubled and created a clean open-plan layout. Externally, an overhaul of the existing house's facade was included, with a new complimentary palette of materials that better reflects the local scenic setting.
